A blast from the past, high tea, and Wembley Market!

So it has been quite a few days.  To begin, on Wednesday, we went on a boat cruise on the Thames beginning at the Tower of London.  All of the international students going to Westminster were invited including my graduation/locker buddy from high school! I found out the day before I left that Matt would be attending Westminster this semester too! Who would of thought!! Not only are we going to the same school but we have class together, it will be just like the old days...except in a foreign country.
On Thursday we got to have high tea at a beautiful hotel called the Strand Palace Hotel.  It was not quite what I expected, no fancy china, chandeliers, graceful ladies in crazy hats, etc.  But the tea was delicious and they had lots of yummy little sandwiches and cakes.  I am obsessed with the scones and jam, I think I ate about 5 of them in one sitting....

On Friday, Emily and I explored the campus and found all our classrooms so we aren't lost on our first day. On Friday night we did a pub crawl! It was fun but again not quite what I expected.  It was a good introduction to some local clubs and bars though.  Unfortunately on Saturday I was not feeling well, and no I was not hungover :p, so I spent most of the day in bed watching movies (which was very relaxing).

Today, Emily and I decided to check out the Wembley Market which is right down the street in front of Wembley Stadium.  I was expecting it to be a like a farmers market but it turned out to be more of a flea market.  IT WAS HUGE! There was something new around every corner! Emily and I had to restrain ourselves from buying loads of purses, wallets, clothes, shoes, and so much more.  There was one little place that had absolutely beautiful coats! There was one coat that caught my eye in particular.  It was long, about to the knee, cream colored wool, with kind of a slanted opening.  The buttons are on the inside so the coat looks very sleek and cut perfectly.  I think Kate Middleton would approve.  I had to tear myself way from it.  I think I will go back and buy it for myself when my birthday roles around! Now Emily and I are preparing for classes to start tomorrow! Can't Wait!!
