Yesterday I found out that my friend's grandmother passed away. Henriette Von Trapp was quite the woman. She was a spitfire like no other and could beat me in a game of wits any day. I wasn't sure what I could do for Henriette or my friend and her family so I decided I would go to a service at Westminster Abbey. First I went to an organ rectial that was just amazing. I was almost moved to tears at the end thinking about all the incredible things that this church has seen and the music that was currently moving through it. The service was right after the recital. It was perfect for the occasion, all about heaven and what it means to us. It was a beautiful service. At the end I lit two candles. One for Henriette and one for all the people in my family that have passed away. I stood there in silence and prayed for all of them and hoped that they would find each other in heaven, I think my uncle Tom and Henriette would have a great time together. Before I left I requested that the church pray for Henriette and my uncle tom in the next service. I know it isn't much but I am glad that I was able to honor Henriette in some way and hopefully help her family in this difficult time.
I think I might go back next Sunday too. I really liked the service and the venue wasn't bad either :p
