The English Countryside!

So over the weekend I got to experience the English countryside! And boy was it everything I though it would be! There were land rovers, hunters boots, quilted vests, rolling green fields, and houses that looked like they had been there for centuries! PERFECTION!  How did I get to experience all this you ask? Well it all goes back to when I mom decided to live in Finland for a year and work as an Au pair.  My mom lived with a family and helped out on their farm and with their children.  One of those children was 7 years old and her name was Heidi.  Well many years have gone by, and my mom has kept in contact with Heidi and her family.  When my brother was 2 she actually came to the states to be my brothers Au pair.  Anyway, Heidi, now all grown up with a family of her own lives in Knights bridge, England! How convenient! So my mom got in contact with Heidi, and Heidi got in contact with and boom, I was going to the countryside! Now I love living in London, but going to knights bridge was what i had always imagined England would be.  All weekend I got homemade food, some puppy love (they have two Labradors), and put together about every puzzle in the house, with the help of a very smart little 3 year old, Astrid.  Heidi now has three kids, Sammy, who is 9, Milo, who is 6, and Astrid.  Sammy, who is severely autistic, is just beginning home schooling and is starting to talk about everything and is very curious!  Milo is going to be quite the little marine biologist when he grows up (when he isn't in Cirque Du Soleil or training to be a diver in the Olympics). He knows just about everything there is to know about marine animals.  And Astrid is going to be a fire cracker! She is absolutely adorable and is going to be just as smart as her two older brothers.  It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend that included a birthday party for one of Astrid's friends (all the kids were so cute I could've kidnapped them all!--don't worry I didn't), dinner at the local pub, a full Sunday roast, and several trips to the beach! It was wonderful to say the least and just a short train ride away!
